The history is a mystery behind this old house on Wilgus Cemetary R.D. in Frankford, Delaware. I was on my way back from a deer hunt one morning about 2 1/2 years ago and decided to check out this place before it collapsed. The floors and stairs were a little sketchy but but still managed to get some cool shots. The photos were burning up the hard drive and had to see the light. If anyone knows some history behind this old farmhouse throw it in the comments or email me. This house is still standing about 2 1/2 years later and I see a bunch of things I would like to reshoot, but I would'nt recommend stomping around in there. Anyway, here is a little black & white fine art for your Thursday. Click the photo to check out the rest.
Reese Rickards old home was the first of many to get tore down along Camp Barnes R.D. in Frankford, Delaware in the past year. This construction project is flattening the land we grew up hunting, fishing, and just riding around "the loop" unwinding. I shot my first big buck a few hundred yards from this old home, spent MANY evenings just riding the loop watching the sunset, and might of even ran into a few ditches. Anyone local to this area has memories down this road into the Assawoman Game Refuge. To see it slowly being developed is tough. Heres a few shots of the house from the fall of 2013.
